Bury CO2 – save the world?

On Monday 9 November 2009 our guest speaker will be Professor Chris Ballentine from the School of Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at Manchester University.

Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are essential for life on Earth.  Burying power plant CO2 in the ground is a key strategy to give our global society time to develop alternatives to CO2 producing energy sources and prevent climate catastrophe, but how safe is it?
