Andy Hall is a shark enthusiast, marine conservationist and experienced scuba diver. He has travelled the various oceans of the world diving and researching sharks and rays. His mission is to eliminate the myths about these majestic, but very misunderstood creatures. He also wants to raise public awareness of the current problems in the oceans with respect to shark finning and long-line fishing.
His presentation will attempt to eradicate the misconceptions and myths associated with sharks, and replace them with the facts. The content includes facts about sharks, their anatomy and behaviour as well as a discussion about why we are frightened of them.
After several facts and interactive discussion, the problems associated with finning and long-lining are discussed. As usual, the format will be a 30 minute presentation followed by a Q&A session.
Event starts 6.30 pm at The Vale Inn, Adlington Road, Bollington, and ends at 8pm. Arrive early to be sure of getting a good seat. As always, anyone from Junior School age onwards is very welcome. You don’t need to be an expert. Just bring an inquisitive mind!
