Hunting for habitable worlds

The pace of discovery of planets around other stars (exoplanets) is now so rapid that we may know within our lifetime whether recognisable extra-terrestrial life is common or not. Jodrell Bank planet hunter, Dr Eamonn Kerins, will discuss how we find exoplanets, what we know about them and what we know about the possibility of life beyond Earth.

As usual, the format will be a 30 minute presentation followed by a Q&A session. Event starts 6.30 pm at The Vale Inn, Adlington Road, Bollington, and ends at 8pm. Arrive early to be sure of getting a good seat. As always, anyone from Junior School age onwards is very welcome. You don’t need to be an expert. Just bring an inquisitive mind!
